About

Our Story

On February 2, 2025, Christ Baptist Church and Capital Community Church began a prayerful journey, seeking God’s will about joining together as one body in Christ. That morning, we held our first joint worship service—a joyful celebration of praise to our Almighty God. In the weeks that followed, our ministries partnered in unity and began growing together in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Throughout the spring, we gathered for prayer meetings, fellowship meals, joint services, and other times of spiritual discernment, all with the desire to follow the Lord’s leading.

By May, both congregations clearly sensed God calling us to unite. On May 18, 2025, the members of Christ Baptist and Capital Community overwhelmingly voted to form a new church together. Since that time, we have seen God’s faithful hand blessing our worship, ministry efforts, and plans as we establish this church for His glory.

On July 13, 2025, the elders announced the name of the new church—The King’s Chapel. This name reflects our desire to honor the Lordship of Jesus Christ and proclaim the coming of His kingdom. As Jesus declared in Matthew 4:17, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” From Genesis to Revelation, the storyline of Scripture reveals God’s kingdom advancing through history. At The King’s Chapel, we exist to exalt King Jesus in our name, in our message, and in every ministry we undertake.

This is a joyful and historic season in the life of our church. We ask for your prayers as we seek to honor Christ and advance His mission. If you live in the Raleigh–Durham area and are not currently part of a Christ-centered, Bible-preaching church, we invite you to come and be part of this new work of God. The King’s Chapel exists for His glory—and we’d be honored to walk with you in faith.
